took my 98.5 A4 1.8TQSTip (please no snide remarks about the auto, I had a stick for my first car and i just want to lazy now, okay?) in today to have the remote range fixed, rear speaker vibration examined, and to order the winter mats...was treated excellent throughout.
I was provided with a loaner car (2.8 w/everything) which i got to boot around town for a few hours. When I returned, my car was washed and the winter mats were already in the car. The range has increased to well over 20 feet and the vibration from the speaker is gone (something about a loose panel or something). To my surprise, there was a complimentary bottle of Castrol wheel cleaner in the passenger's seat (nice touch!).
Having driven my 1.8 sport tip concert back-to-back with a 2.8 sport tip bose, i can definitely say that the 2.8 is much faster and smoother than the 1.8t...now i gotta chip my car. Liked the increased power but found the V6 a bit too smooth and quiet...i like the buzz of the inline-4...feels sportier.
The bose sounds much better than the concert (esp on fm radio) but the cost of the option kept me away (i still don't think it's worth it).
Also, I didn't feel much difference between the sports seats and my non-sport seats (maybe cuz i have a skinny butt). The leather smell was nice when i first started driving the loaner but I kinda got sick of it after awhile...it sorta takes away from the "new car" smell...
The loaner came with the 7-spoke sport wheels which I definitely DO NOT like. I can see how they may grow on you but they really don't compare to the 5-spokes IMHO. I demanded the dealer swap wheels as a condition of me buying the car. I even had it written into the documentation that the 5-spokes must be on the car or i wouldn't buy it (my girlfriend thought i was nuts)!
All and all, a very satisfying first visit to my service dept...I would definitely recommend cowell motors/ audi of richmond if anyone is looking to buy a new A4 in Vancouver.
Next week, i'm having clear corners, smoked sides, super whites, and a remus exhaust installed! can't wait!
Cowell Motors treated you excellently!! Are you kidding? How can you get an Audi courtesy car when in service?
Tom
97 A4 1.8TQM (drive the same fumpy white Jetta GL for the second time out of the last three services!!!!)

I can only comment on the service I received...and it was indeed excellent.
If you treated badly, then definitely you have the right to trash them.
If you doubt the fact that I actually received a courtesy car, then I really don't know what to say. The loaner i received was an A4 2.8 pearlescent with everything. Damn, it even had less mileage than my car (which made it more difficult to give up).
Maybe after a few servicings, the treatment will get shoddier, who's to say?
No, i dealt with Patti...she was quite nice.
The whole experience was great, I could have got a better deal at Capilano but they put me through a bunch of BS.
I received even worse treatment at Clarkdale...I actually had to walk out in the middle of our negotiations because the salesperson was so rude and obnoxious.
