I just drove my 1st A4.The model was a 1.8Tqm w/sports package in santorin blue with opal gray cloth.The salesman gave me the keys and told me to take my time.What a fun car to drive.I found it hard to return to the dealer.The amazing thing is I currently drive a Infiniti I-30,190hp.The A4 seems to have just as much straight line performance as the 190HP 4,500lbs.Infiniti.I can't wait for 02/99 when my current lease expires.

Hi,<p>I'm an I30 owner who is considering getting an Avant 2.8. I don't believe that the I30 weighs 4,500 lbs. According to the I30 brochure, it weighs about 3100-3200 lbs. Loaded with passengers and cargo...that's a different story.<p>-Em

I did not believe it either but when I go to my owners manual it refers me to the label inside the drivers door.This says GVWR 4273.Am I reading this incorrectly? Does GVWR mean gross vehicle weight? I was suprised because the Maxima is <1000lbs. Thats a lot of insulation or whatever.I wondered why my I-30 kept warping rotors thats what made look for the weight of the car.The car has maxima brakes at the increased weight.Let me know if the weight I gave you is uncorrect.

GVWR = Gross Vehicle Weight. That 4,273 pounds would include passengers, cargo, etc. The I30 is basically an optioned-out Maxima GLE. Even then, it weighs about 3,200 pounds.<p>I'm not sure about the cause of your warped rotors. Has Infiniti covered it under warranty or offered any explanation for it?<p>-Em

The dealer has turned the rotors 3 times in warranty and tells me the brakes do not recieve proper cooling and the front end is to heavy for the brakes.They say the Q is even worse.Do you think Audi willprovide as good of service as Infiniti?Which engine are you looking at,I sure will miss the 19HP V-6.I will be buying the 1.8tqm.
