I keep reading that those a4 "spy" photos are computer generated. This doesn't look morphed to me. The TT is a great looking car, but I think that with regard to the A4's looks, Audi should be careful about screwing around with a good design.

Trust me that this image is a computer illustration, created by somebody for some odd reason. What would make a person spend the time and effort to create this image that could pass as the real thing? Did this person create this image for Audi? If so, why the hell are we looking at it? Do you think Audi's design team just says "sure, release our top secret design studies to the general public, we don't care". That's a load of crap, if this was an actual image created for Audi it would be tightly guarded secret. If this was an image create for Audi he person that created this would have had to have signed all sorts of legal info saying he wouldn't talk about his designs, release any info, etc, etc, etc.
As I posted earlier today, when the subject of these "spy" photos came up last week with the marketing and brand management teams at Audi AG, they all laughed. While they didn't flat out say that these images are inaccurate, I can 95% guarantee that this image we are looking at, and other like it, are not images from Audi.
Who knows why these images where created, but they are definatly fake. The size of that grill is a dead give away of a fake, look at that thing, the rings are bigger than the license plate!! And speaking of the license plate, why would this "concept car" even be registered and have plates on it??
When speaking with Audi AG last week, they said they do know what the next generation A4 will look like, and they do know when it will be released, but the impression I got is it is at least 2 years away. And I would guess that it is going to have hints of the TT & A6 in it's design, but I have faith in the Audi design team that they will make it look killer.
Matt

The chunky sides of this photo do not match the curved sides in your "photo". I think your illustration is an exciting look, but I agree mostly. Must every future design look like a bigger TT? The back end of this shot clearly is a combination of the TT and the A6. Good, if a little boring...What do you think?

http://www.nordicaudi.com/spion/a42000.jpg
