I just ordered a front and rear S4 emblem for my A4. For those interested it's $63 for the front and $54 for the rear.
-josh
98.5 2.8

BTW, I had one on my A4 front grille for awhile...then the true 1993 S4 owner decided he wanted it back.
Steve S.
97 2.8QM (I want an S4 too)
Please don't tell me that you're going to try and turn your A4 into nothing but a "Wannabe S4". I laugh at the people that go in and buy ///M emblems and try to turn their 3-series BMWs into ///M3s. People who know will look at your car and wonder why you did it, and those who don't know will have their image of an S4 forever ruined because of your slow car. Who are you trying to fool?
JohnS
I will wait until I have 250hp before upgrading the badges...
It's almost like putting VTEC stickers on a regular Integra GS...
Sorry, I didn't mean to offend anyone.
Cris
...saving up for a K04 turbo...
Not going to go for the S4 look only, I am waiting for the greedspeed 300+Hp kit then we can talk! S4 power...
I guess it's also the same for those who debadge.. For what reason? To fool those in thinking that they have the 2.8???
Dmak S4QMS

I think there is a difference between de-badging and re-badging.
I took the badges off my 1.8T because it looks cleaner. When I worked at the dealership I would suggest to my Porsche clients that they order their cars with the "designation delete" option so the rear of the car looks cleaner. By removing the "Carrera" logo off the back of the 911 I doubt that anyone would mistake it for a Turbo. Same with an A4. I would never assume that because it had no badges it was a 2.8. Now if they were taking 1.8 badges off and putting 2.8 badges on, that would be another story....
JohnS
I really could care less what people think I have. If they wanna think I'm drivin a 1.8 with front track, cool let 'em. I debagged because I like the way the car looks w/o all the hoopla back there and it's funny to watch people slow down to see the rear then speed up to see the front then get this totally confused look on their face. Also I think Audi went a little overboard on the bages on the Avant. The rear looks like a damm billboard. I took it all off, the ring,s the A4, the Avant, and the quatro badge. Same with the fron via a new grill. I agree on the S4 badges, IMO thats dumb. What a sheezy way to blow 120 bucks.
Damon
98.5 30v Avant QMS, AMS chip, cat back, K&N, H&Rs, Bilsteins, 18x8.5s, Recaro SRs

Josh,
Do you also go around with a bannana in your pants? If not, please explain the difference between putting a S4 emblem on a A4 (or M stickers on a 328i) and the bannana. Think about it.
Reg Short
98.5 2.8QMS
Is that what you drive UnABimMer?. I like Cameros, 68'and 69' ss beautiful car. Thanks for the five "chopstics", it almost hurt my feelings but my ego is so inflated with everyone elses oppinions about my car that I could only find it amusing. %^ )
What DO you drive? Would you be so kind as to post some pics so as I could see how to "do it right". I think I'm pretty darn good at setting up a car whether it be German, American, or japanese (although I've never done a jap car before) in a way that maintains it's class while adhering to an esthetic agenda that complements its cultural heritage. Oh, I get it. It must be the Recaros. Wait till the Recaros get covered in Matched black leather. Can you say "Factory leather A4 interior with Recaro SRs"....

But thanks for your oppinion and thanks for giving me an excuse to post a link to photos of my Avant, I love the thing.
Damon

"the most "riced-out" Audi the UnAbImMeR has seen.

and will admit that I had a S4 on the rear for a while. Now, clean again(except left rings). Damon's comment on the back looking like a billboard is right on for the Avant people.
Gees, does this badging thing really matter this much? I too want the S4 but in Avant. Not much to hope for here according to AoA.
98.5 A4QMS2.8 Avant
We've been inflating your ego, eh? At least someone's trying to bring you back to reality, that and the lapdog incident :-)
Are you going to show us your Carbon Fiber Man costume? Will you be going as a single fiber, a weave, or a tube? :^}
Todd W

What he doesn't understand is that debadging is a practice that began in Europe and is a European tradition. Snob appeal you see, "if you don't know what it is, you don't deserve to know what it is".
It is also much cleaner and who cares to advestise all that stuff and junk it up? I keep the rings because I like them and think it is all that is needed to say what brand it is. If someone doesn't know what the 4 rings are....oh well.

All I have together rght now is a pair of Carbon Fiber gogles, a corbon "looking" hat and that's it. I Think I'm over Halloween. I'm going to escape Haloween this year. I'll be chillin' with the mammas in the Bahammas.
Anyway, whether the A4 heads at the org like or hate my Avant I still get stopped all the time with "what is that? it's a beautiful car" and "wow, I didn't know Audi made those, thats dope!". I think the going average for compliments is 2 compliments per 5 miles driven in the real world. Oh, and the real world is very generous with compliments on my "lap dogs" too, probably because they're so nice and the female does all kinds of funny tricks 'n' stuff.
Everyone have a great weekend and be safe, I'll talk to ya on Monday or Tuesday!
Damon

False advertising is tacky, and the smart ones know the difference. Surely you've seen a 318i with an M3 badge before? I know I have, and that was every bit as bad (or worse)as an S badge on an A4. It also proves that Audi owners aren't the only ones who do this BS. As far as debadging goes, I think that's up to the individual. I did it on my 90Q for one main reason: It's a pain in the butt to clean inside those letters, so I removed them to clean (with the intent of putting them back on) and decided I liked the cleaner look without them there. I would never remove the rings though! That would be going too far, I think.
Charles

Whats up with this site? Why is everyone going at each other's throats? I thought this site was so people could talk about their cars, not to criticise personal taste? Whats going on? I'm pretty new to this site and am very surprised at the level of hostility in here.I believe that if someone wants to paint their A4 hot pink with purple dots and take all the freakin' badges right off shouldn't be looked down upon simply for their personal taste, but be admired for their sense of individuality. I'm 20 years old, more than likely the youngest of this bunch, and have seen my 14 yearold brother behave better than this. Whats up with that? Now, I'm not trying to give anyone a lecture here, all I'm trying to say is everyone should just cool down a bit.
