View Full Version : 400 HP BMW ///M5 Daur 10-29-1998, 06:34 AM Check the link bellow: great info on new///M5

M5

Drew S. 10-29-1998, 07:18 AM L-O 10-30-1998, 04:53 AM MH 10-30-1998, 08:21 AM We have a development-team called "plus" at AUDI AG... :-)
Wait for the new S6 + !
Manuel H. Todd W 10-30-1998, 10:57 AM
Stop teasing us with things that will never make it over the pond :-)
Did we get the RS2,
the S8
the S6+
the Sport Quattro
the 91 20VT UrQ
etc, etc?
No
I'm not blaming anyone for the reasons, but stick to discussing the relevant cars (i.e. the ones that we will be able to buy) Speaking of which, how about something unofficial in the FAQ about when what models will be available?
Thanks,
Todd W MH 10-30-1998, 03:54 PM I read something like anginess in your words. Do you know how much it cost for a company to develope and produce or better: to reconstract a car for the USA? Why all of these sportive cars you wrote were not available in your country had just one reason: It was NOT economical for AUDI AG to spent hundreds million $$ in comparison to the very bad sales-rates 1987 - 1995. Since 1996 the sales-rates are running better, and I'm sure you will get more sportive cars like the S4, the S6+ when this development goes on like this - positive! We need you customers otherwise we cannot fullfill your wishes. That's the way it is!
To the point about inofficial information which I should give you just one answer, I hope I understood everything right in your post:
Both of us know what AUDI AG would do with me when I tell you something inofficial. I don't want to loose my job and if you cannot understand this - I'm sorry.
But if you want to complain about our marketing, you can do this. I'm not from Marketing so I don't handle with their work. EMail me, and you'll get the address, afterwards you can discuss with them about the model-range by yourself.
Manuel H. Todd W 10-30-1998, 05:56 PM
I certainly understand that we are not Audi's favorite market. I just wanted a qualifier about whether the car you are discussing will be available in the US. I now realize that you may not legally be able to say. I don't want you to lose your job, but I thought you might have information that is rather public over there, but that we haven't heard yet.
I wish that I could afford a new Audi, but I think my next one will be an old S4/6. I love the turbo 5cyl :-)
Todd W
86 5KTQ
83 UrQ |
