Hi Steve.
I saw your car on the Nordic Audi site and noticed you have a Momo Anatomico Zebrano wood shift knob. How do you like it (size, etc.)? Which atmosphere do you think it goes best with?
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
TGB 1999 1.8T qMS (on boat...)

The Momo now (because it is the short one) fits pretty good...if you have ever gotten a Momo before, they occasionally require tightening with the allen wrenches. It matches the glossy older wood interior very well. It does not match the newer non-polished wood. I got it at Autobahn International for about $55-60. I just wanted to change the interior a little bit. The other option is the one Clair Parts Express is now selling...it is wood also...however, I have not seen it and don't know how well it matches. Do not get any of the tall shift knobs...they are too big to fit well in the A4.
Hope I helped.
Steve S.
97 2.8QM
P.S. Are you jealous that Jonas Karlsson got to drive a new S4...I am.
Thanks a lot Steve.
I have the opal interior and am interested in replacing the aluminum with the factory wood (once the $ become available). Since I want to buy the shift knob first, I am looking for something that will match well.
I have sent an email to Clair for a better description of which atmosphere their's matches best and possibly a picture if they have one. I have not heard anything yet.
Once again, thanks for your input.
S4? I think I would step over my mother to get into one of those, even if it was only for a test drive. :)
TGB 1999 1.8T qMS
P.S. I really like the way those rims look on your car. Very nice contrast!

Regarding fit, I have two questions. Are the MOMO knobs threaded, or are the allen bolts required for mounting (or just for adjustment)?
When you recommend the short knob, is it because of aesthetics, or does the long knob not fit in some way?
I am actually considering the same knob.
Keith 99 A4 2.8 (On the boat)

The short Zebrano knob does not interfere with the interaction of
driving and the climate control system. Taller knobs will interfere.
The wood matches...not exactly...but very very close. Others wouldn't
notice, but I do...I seem to notice everything. It is three allen head
screws...there are no threads on the inside of the Momo knob itself.
Steve S.
97 2.8QM
