This is only a slightly corrected version. It means a corporation with limited liability, sort of like Ltd. for limited. There is also AG which is "Allgemeine Gesellschaft" like a common stock corporation and K.G. "Koenigliche Gesellschaft" (I think!).
Clair C.
98.5 2.8 FM

For the rest of the world some definitions...
Gmbh - Gesellschaft mit beschraenkter Haftung - brit. limited liability company, am. incorporated company.
AG - Aktiengesellschaft - brit. limited company, am. corporation (hey, want to buy some audi stocks, todays rate: 700 Deutsche Mark!)
KG - Kommanditgesellschaft - limited partnership
Mit freundlichen Gruessen
Masterhit
Bavaria - Germany
And here I thought "AG" = Aktiengesellschaft
