Has anyone replaced a aftermaket H7 light bulb with a higher wattage before? I plan to install a pair of 85 watt from PIAA bulbs on my A4... Do U guys think if it is okay to use a 85 watt H7 bulbs for the car.. My main concern is that it may burn out the wirings or the fuse. Is that correct? Well, please tell me how U guys feel about installing a high wattage light bulb for the car.... thanx!

I can't say for sure, but if these get hot enough, you may have to worry about them melting the plastic headlight housing.
I was speaking to a parts supplier the other day about bulbs, and this was the impression that I got. These 85 watt bulbs might only be safe in Euro glass headlight housings.
Anyone know for sure whether the stock US headlights can take 85 watt bulbs?
