What did you do with the original stock exhaust? The shop that installed my aftermarket cat-back said that the stock exhaust is a valuable used part, and that I would probably want to keep it, but I don't really have anyplace to put it, nor do I ever anticipate wanting it. Any ideas?<p>BTW, my aftermarket exhaust is a Stebro stainless-steel cat-back. They run around $680 for the A4 2.8, I think slightly less for the 1.8T, though I got mine free in the drawing at the Quattro Club national event at Road America. Stebro claims a 5.5% HP increase & comparable torque increase; acceleration does seem slightly improved. The sound is deep & throaty under acceleration, but fairly quiet at steady throttle. I don't know where to sell your existing exhaust but I would love to hear from you on how loud the cat back is under hard acceleration at 2500 rpm to 3500rpm in 5th gear.
