Further to my post yesterday...my 96 A4 TQ with MTM 187hp upgrade got a flat battery...I disconnected the leads and charged the battery, but when I reconnected the car wouldn't run...the engine immobiliser light flashed and it appears that it has lost its memory and doesn't recognise the key, and so has to be reprogrammed. Not a major problem unless (like me) u live in a town where there is no service agent, so no machine to reset the immobiliser. So I get to wait till tomorrow while the 'fixer' is couriered to town.<br>Of more concern is that the Audi importer (who also sells the MTM gear) says it appears to be a problem only with MTM modified cars..Anyone else had this experience?.......I'm even more concerned at their unwillingness to accept it as a fault and do something to correct it....if this happens again when my car is out of warranty I could end up spending lots of money and time in some place I don't want to be trying to find the computer to fix it again.!!
