What kind of realistic 0 - 60 mph times can one expect from just chipping (as in no turbo upgrade) a 1.8T with Quattro?
That's a TAP Stage II chip, DTM air filter, and Scorpion 70mm (I keep taking on the 'Terminator' persona when I say that) cat-back exhaust system. Stock k03 turbo. Yield about 218hp true (flywheel).
But 0-60 isn't where this machine dances. It really hits the happy zone 70 through 100!

Robbie
'99 1.8tqms, above mods + mild cosmetics

More realstic- high 6's to 7 sec.
Gtechs are good, but you can fool 'em.

I never should've trusted a VW fanatic with the stopwatch (an inaccurate method to begin with) They'll whine and BS about the 1.8T until the Golf and Jetta IV platforms get it!
I'd rather be conservative in my estimates anyways. Keeps 'em guessing!

I am really wondering that
@ days ago I maxed the car, I swear. The speedometer was at the end. Felt like the car is still trying to go. I have a quattro with Neuspeed chip and Klasse and the acceleration was amazing. It was a monster up to 125, slowed down to 140 and gone up fast again. I wonder what was my real speed not the speedometer.
