My dealer in the Bay Area told me that they don't have the parts for my A4 recall.
I have to wait. Have you had similar experience with your recall?
Steve C
98.5 2.8QM

View Full Version : A4 Recall Steve C 10-28-1998, 08:45 PM My dealer in the Bay Area told me that they don't have the parts for my A4 recall.
I have to wait. I think they have a lot of service business. Not having the parts sound kind of odd though. Does Audi stock parts to the dealers who originally sold the car?
-randy
Rich 10-28-1998, 10:00 PM Had the recall (the replacing the screen one, right?) done without delay or incident at the 45k service (Michigan)
Rich
'98 2.8Q sport Brad Bilut 10-29-1998, 08:52 AM I have a 98.5 A4 2.8Q is there a recall? What about?
Clair C. 10-29-1998, 09:14 AM It supposedly only applies to early 98 and 98.5 models. Mine was built in January
and had the recall. The fix is not major but I did have to wait three weeks to get it fixed. If you have not got a recall letter, I suggest you call AofA with your VIN number and ask them to verify. Unfortunately, when I did that they said no and two weeks later I got the letter. There is a lot on this in the archives. I hate to send you
there, but I am madly typing at work and want to get back to it.
Good luck,
Clair 98.5 2.8 MAN FWD |
