Based on what I've been reading, I was under the impression that Quattro alignments are running about $75 to $100. I went to Carlsen Audi in Palo Alto today for my 45k service and an alignment and I was quoted $175, and ended up being $185 since they forgot to include the "replacement bolts" in the quote.
Is $185 typical for an alignment at Audi dealers?

Hey Everyone,
I brought my car in to my dealer because my car was drifting to the right. I took into account the crown of the road, and yes, the first thing I did was check the tire pressure. The dealer has an alignment test "ramp" they they drive the car through, and it shows if the car is out of spec or not. My rear fell just outside of the acceptable limit.
At this time my tech told me that Audi only covers one alignment during the entire warranty period. He recommended that if it's not a big problem, I should not use up my one free alignment.
He did jack up my car to see if there's anything minor he might be able to adjust. Upon inspection, it was concluded it was because of the worn edges of my tires. This was not an alignment caused problem because only the edges were worn, plus I know the damage was caused when I ran my stock 15" Goodyears all seasons at the Portland track. :-) So no alignment was done. My tech recommended for my style of driving, to get better wheels and tires.
Anyone else know of this One alignment rule? Can we get a confirmation? If so, does this only apply to quattros, or FrontTrak as well?
Thanks for your help.

James Wu
A4 Club of Vancouver
1998 Black/Onyx 1.8tqa

A4 Club of Vancouver

I don't know for sure, but I'm having mine aligned today. My wife just called and asked if it was free and the dealership said yes. They never mentioned if it's a one time thing or not. Other posts have indicated that it's once per year, so I'm not sure.
