hey there,
well, it seems that a lot of us are interested in buying some products for XL. they are located on the outskirts of temple, tx. i don't know their phone number because i failed to grab a card last weekend. i am dealing with them through a friend of mine who owns a honda tuning shop here in killeen (i am an officer in the army stationed on ft. hood). donald, the owner of xl, is suppose to call me tomorrow to schedule an appointment for my car. i decided to go with the cat back 3" stainless exhaust with thermal dynamics muffler and oval tip. i am also going to have custom hard pipes for my turbo made. i think i am going to go with silver powder coating for the pipes and red connectors. all of you should see my bud's miata. he went with silver tubing with the yellow connectors and it looks awesome....it looks like the HKS Supra motor with the custom single turbo. donald is has quoted me a price for under 700 dollars, exhaust and turbo pipes with installation. it should be cheaper with 2.5 inches of stainless steel. he said if enough of us order together, he would give us a discount. the greatest thing is that the customer is allowed to watch his work. you are allowed to wander the garage and view your car being worked on. he makes the exhaust in pieces with stainless flanges so that it can be bolted off if you decide to remove it (just like the pre-made systems). i am going there this weekend, if anyone is interested in going, send me an e-amil.
joe
tqms slightly modified
p.s. he is looking into finidng me a ceramic bearing centerpiece for the k03 and polishing the internals....i am also thinking of adding an external blow-off valve (for high boost conditions) onto the hard pipes....similar to the one on greedspeed's a4 in EC.
