Hi: <p>I saw a posting in the forum a while back that someone else had the problem with a whistling<br>wind noise from the drivers side door... high pitch wind noise when driving > 120km/hr..... the solution was to realign the door... or something like that....<p>I mentioned this to my dealer and he had no idea what I was talking about... is there an<br>Audi service advisory on this.. so I can tell my dealer to get this problem fixed<p>Thanks!<br>Gordon

I have the same problem. The dealer checked all seals and the door alignment and stated everything was ok. Its going back in to the shop on Monday. Noise is strongest between 45 and 65 mph, actually seems to weaken above 65mph, although hard to tell since overall noise increases. <p>Mine seems to come from the front of the drivers window close to the mirror. I checked arcives and someone mentioned taping the joints around the mirror as a possible solution. I tried it but no change.<br>

My 98.5 Avant has the same problem. My dealer, Clair, said it was from the larger driver's side mirror and had nothing to do with door seals or alignment. They sais it was, of course, "normal."<br> <br>I don't buy that explanation. The real test is whether the '99s with equal-sized mirrors on both sides have wind noise from passenger side as well as driver's side. I plan to post a survey on this point after more people take delivery of their '99s.
