I've had my 1.8TQM with Silver/Onyx for about a month. I've noticed that the black dash really brings out the dust. I used a damp cloth to wipe it down, but the dust comes back pretty quick. I've used Armour-all on other cars, but I don't think I want that shiny look and greasy feel in my A4. I'm just curious what others do to combat this problem.
TIA

A guy that does custom upholstery for antique and
classic restorations (his sole business) claimed that
sun + armour-all promoted dash cracking.

I'm starting to gain confidence in the Zymol products they seem to be of very good quality...plus the Zymol protectant smells good :) I use it on everything. It seems to work pretty good on all the vinyl parts...this would include the leatherette...just don't get it on the steering wheel...any amount of slickness is a bad idea there. You spray it on a cloth..then rub it on...let it sit for a min or two..then wipe with a clean cloth. BTW - if you decide to use it..don't get it on any of the matte plastic parts of the car, for instance around the door handle where the controls are...makes em' look stupid shiny.

I highly recommend Vinylex, made by Lexol (very well known company who makes leather care products). It is not at all greasy, and does not leave a high-gloss sheen. It is rather pricey at $9.00+ for a relatively small spray bottle; however, a little goes a long way. It's the best stuff I've used by far. I have also tried the Zymol product which I find too greasy for my liking.

Just bought a bottle at a Trak Auto store this weekend (they are all over the place here in Virginia). They also had Lexol Leather Cleaner and Leather Protectant.
