7K later and reading for months about all of you chipped 1.8T'ers and I've decided to join the crowd. I've searched the archives for info about chipping the 2.8 and have the following questions:<p>1. As a threshold matter, is it worth chipping the 2.8?<br>-Many have said that the increased performance is negligible, can't really be noticed and isn't worth the money. Are there any fresh opinions out there?<p>2. If so, which chip should I go with? <br>- I am particularly interested in the Garret chip because it also reprograms the tiptronic for faster shifts. This concerns me though because the last thing I need is to drop a transmission due to some screwy programming. Any comments on the various chips available?<p>Thanks in advance.<br>
