Can anyone supply the name of a dealer in the NYC area who can add keyless entry to my 98.5 QT. My dealer said he would have to spend time at my expense to find out if the factory system could even be added. He then encouraged me to go to a car stereo installation center and have it done there. (I guess service business is brisk - wish I could be so cavaliere about turning business away) After reading the archives I'd like to have it done by someone with some experience. Thanks!<br>

My 98.5 2.8QMS came with the factory receiver installed (I believe yours should have it too). All the dealer had to do was program the receiver to accept the signals from the two remote controls I bought from him. This dealer is in CA, but you should get the same service in your area.

They were alot cheaper than my dealer. My dealer initially said it could not be done but it can. A district service guy finally overheard us discussing it and said that it can be done on all 98.5 models. I got the remotes from Clair and my dealer programmed them with no problems. Call AoA and have them tell your dealer that it can be done if you have to. Also, check out the FAQ. There is a writeup on all the codes that can be entered. <p>Mark (8.5 2.8 QMS)
