Thanks to all for the tips/articles in the F.A.Q. dept. I just bought a '99A4 2.8Q, want a phone & access to the built-in features, but don't want to pay the high dealer price. Also, the Audi-available unit is now obselete on two counts: 1. It can not be used out of the car; 2. It is analog only, vs. digital or digital/analog. My '99 came completely wired up to the console interior, with a telephone jack-like plug in the inner lid. Will the Motorola unit mentioned in the FAQ "plug and play" here? Are any others compatible - especially a removable/battery operated? Please let me know if anybody has any additional info. I've come up blank with Audi and my local Airtouch installer. Thanks.
