For those of you who asked or read my earlier post on my poor running and high idle/limp mode on Tap II chip, I think my car has been fixed and it was indeed the coolant temp sensor.
I will post all I have learned and why I think a second ECU is going to be a must for chip owners, when I get my new re-chipped Tap Stage II back in my car so I can test it, and be sure the car is in fact fixed.

When was this . . . . seems like ages ago . . . . I just KNEW there'd be a time when I wish I had the stock chip to pop back in there.
And -voila- I do! Wetterauer's socket to the rescue!
Lot cheaper than a whole ECU, too!
(Sorry, I don't mean this to sound like an "I told you so". Just an observation.)

Don't jump before looking. I told you I will explain do not make comments on some thing you have not read yet. A socket is visable and thats the give away if you have a hard to find problem.
