I'm trying to make a case to Audi to replace the rubber trim on my window because on days over 80 degrees my windows squeak really loudly when going down. If you have a similar problem, please post a followup here to help me make my case to Audi.
Thanks,
Mike Grusell 1.8TQM-Wett

Had the dealer lubricate the tracks and it didn't work. Occasionally my windows will sound like a squeegee, it's loud and embarassing. Only when it is hot out does it do this. It's winter here in Cleveland so I haven't heard the sound in awhile. Let me know what your fix is.
Regards,
George
97 1.8TqAS TAPII
94 Carrera 4 wide-body Authority chip/K&N cone

I found that the squeeling only happened when the windows are dirty. It's actually a good thing because Audi got the tolerances so tight.

I don't think it's because of the temperature outside. If it was, my windows would squeak loudly everyday. My locale's temperature is always above 80. Not trying to say anything to those in blizzard like regions. But, if it was because of temperatures, mine would squeak all the time. Instead, it's only once in a while.
Paul C

My front windows are the only windows that squeek when my car has been sitting in the sun for as few hours on hot days. I strange thing is that it's only the front ones. I do have tinted windows (all around) and I was thinking that it's the tint expanding when the temp goes up. Are your windows tinted? Update the post after you work it out with your dealer.
Dean
A4 97q Wett
