Does anyone know what the residual value should be on a 99 Quattro lease?
Audi dealers have quoted between 56% and 58%.
Thanks.

If I remember correctly....the following affect the residual value:
1) Length of Lease in months
2) Which A4 you get (1.8T, 1.8TQ, 2.8, 2.8Q)
I think I got a 61% on my lease...but it could have been anywhere from 59% to 63%.
Steve S.
97 2.8QM (leased in July 97)
Thx for the info. To be more precise, I was referring to a 99 A4 1.8TQMS @ 36 or 39 months.
It fluctuates like interest rates and money factors. Sometimes they artificially inflate it to get a good payment number, sometimes they lowball it. Different lenders use different criteria.
It's really just a guess as to what the car will be worth in X years, and given Audi's history up till now it really is a crap shoot.
I found that small differences in ANY of the numbers in the loan/lease arena don't make big differences in payments. I have a loan calculator and plugged in number scenarios until I ran down the batteries, and the monthlies were never significantly different.
Ask at least 3 lease companies for their residual and you should see a pattern within 2 or 3 percent.
I was quoted last week for a 1.8T quattro,36 mos./45,000 miles lease a 63% residual. The money factor was .0032 {7.68%}.I am told these are 1st quarter rates and VW credit changes every quarter. The 2.8 quattro residual was 61%.
