On the last forum, I posted a message about VAG programming on my 98.5 2.8q making the following change: Before reprogramming no lights flashed when unlocking the car with remote. Now front and, rear and side lights flash twice. Apparantly other forum members had that feature from the begining. Since my remote was "dealer installed" (did not come as part of convenience package with sunroof), I am wondering if anyone else with the "dealer installed" remote has had the same experience or if my dealed had somehow programmed it wrong.

Your dealer probably just programmed it wrong. I don't think too many dealer have to do this since most cars come with the convience package. I had to first convice my dealer that it could be done. They then programmed it wrong, the alarm was always off. I took it in again and they got everything working but it still differed from stock programming.<p>Mark (98.5 2.8 QMS)
