I think the headlights look really cool on the 99.5...but I don't want to spend 1300 on a set for a brand new car. I will spend good money to put good bulbs or whatever in the stock housing. And I want a white look to them. What are the prices of such lights? Thanks people.....
I think your best bet would be to buy the Bosch European headlights and either use stock bulbs or go with the PIAA superwhite.. With all this trouble I have been hearing about how the bulbs blow out in 2 months.. I don't think it is worth the money for the bulbs but definitely worth it for the headlight units..
Dmak 1.8TQMS

I replaced the stock plastic Audi lamps with the Bosch European Glass lamps. The difference was AMAZING. The Bosch has 1 55w H-7 bulb for low beams and another for high beams. There is also intergrated H-1 fogs and city lights. The new Bosch lenses where worth every penny BIG TIME. I would say they are about twice as bright as stock. The high beems are great!
Greedspeed has a good deal on them. I got mine from Sportwheels with clear Bosch turn signals for $595. Nice people at Sportwheels but I think Greedspeed has them for less.
Very easy install, about a half an hour at most. Plug and play, nothing hard about it.
Personally, I couldn't justify spending over $1200 on headlights. One stone or accident and they could be gone. I would be pissed to say the least. Hope this helps.
The Euro light pattern is vastly better than the DOT pattern
98.5 2.8QM Bosch (NO PIAA SW)

You can get the Valeo H4 e-code lights from LL Tek, upgrade your factory wiring, and then run 100/130 watt bulbs in them, which gives you MORE lumens than any HID system for 1/2 the price!!
Check out Stern lighting...he knows TOO much about lights...

Stern Lighting
