Has anyone else noticed an amount of oil that has seeped from the passenger side of valve covergasket? I noticed it on my car and another vehicle last fall. I have been waiting for the gaskets to come in. They are in and I'll have service done Friday.
Looking forward to comments and feedback.
TIA
I've had my 1.8TQM for 9 months and not a drip of oil, are you using synthetic oil?

Richard,
I also had oil seepage from the passenger side
of the vale cover gasket. At my 25k service I
had them replace it... No more leaks (27.5k now)
as of yet....

Definately a bug in Audi's design. Or the gaskets are cheap!

It ain't too pretty. Local dealer ordered a hundred gaskets, Sounds like it is a known problem.
Thanks for your experience input I have just over 15,000miles on my '98 1.8T
I have a 2.8 12V and I had the same problem. The gaskets were replcaed at the 22500 mile sevice.
