I picked up my new 1.8T yesterday and love it! I had to make a couple of sacrifices, such as no sport package (hey, I'm kind of on a budget and live in Texas where most roads are straight and long), and no manual (a concession to my wife), but it is mine, mine, all mine!!!<p>As for the tiptronic, I actually am warming up to it a bit. I know it isn't quite as fast as a manual, but it really is quite acceptable for city driving. I like the fact that I can throw it in manual mode and control the shift points for highway merging and such, and then go back to automatic when I am up to speed. Now if I can just get used to not letting up on the gas when shifting...<p>Marty<br>Silver 1.8T<p>
