I purchased my 96 A4 2.8Q in early Dec. I took it to the dealership for a little warranty work on Dec. 9th. There was a small but noticable vibration when turning the wheels. Thought I'd take it in for some preventive maintenance. It is Jan. 16th and I am still without my car. The dealership mechanic told me that they have replaced 1000s of dollars worth of parts but still can't solve the problem. He has talked to an Audi rep and was told to replace part by part until the problem is solved. The mechanic's next step is to replace the front differential. After explaining all the steps he has taken to try to fix my car, the mechanic asks, "Do you like any other A4 on the lot?" He flat out said, "I have no idea what is wrong with your car and when it will be ready." WHAT SHOULD I DO? The mechanic has told my salesman that I should look for another car. What should I expect from my Audi salesman, or better yet, what should I Demand? They only have 98 and 99 A4s available to date.
