he knows to stay on the sidewalk!!! Although there has been several times he has run in the street to avoid people, or if he sees me in the street.

other people get pissed off at me when I tell them that their dog should be on a leash but it really is for the dog's protection.

What if he spotted a mailman or any other individual in a uniform, or some female dog in heat, across the street, would he go after him? Just because you're only a block from home doesn't mean he/she won't bolt. Looks like Buddy was on the road at the end of the cul de sac they live on.

Just be careful, I have seen too many of our family pets run down over my lifetime (and I have to bury them in the yard too!)

so, he stays away from anyone he doesn't know.

BUT, he knows to stay on the sidewalk unless there is either a human or physical obstruction, OR...if I'm walking in the street.

The only person he'll bolt for his either my dad when he visits, or my mom. Other than that, he runs like a deer to my porch.

BTW...I'll find out about the local lombardo's tonight :-)

2250 google hits "clinton" + "deeply saddened"

You have to admit its a shocking lack of creativity that "Hilary and I are deeply saddened" is the only way they express the passing of every VIP on earth.

died in airplane crashes on days when the weather is perfect, commit suicide after packing bags for a long trip, end up in jail, die in one car traffic accidents, doesn't mean that they were murdered by his cronies.

I would blame the one-armed man and Kyzer Soze' instead :-)

"We're glad to see that mutt gone." C'mon, it was an innocent dog. Can't you drop the partisan issues for just a second?
