Hold your face about and inch away from the scanner. after i did it, i wonder if i damaged my eyes because we kept our eyes open and my left eye has been hurting all day. anyway, crazy stuff happens when we get bored.

It's not really legal to make a device that can easily cause eye damage without covering it with huge warning labels. However, it is legal to make something that can cause damage if you ignore your intense desire to look away.
