...at a later time. I might be headed there (Rio & Lablon & Ipanema) to see the ex in January w/ my boss.... I need to get your "particular" knowledge on a few things, but have to peel out, now. I need the "American guy dating a Brasilian girl perspective." Doesn't the accent kill you? Marisa Monte will melt a guy, no?

What a concept!!!
You must admit that they present both sides of a story and allow the viewer to draw his own conclusions.

Seems that perhaps a few more people believe "fair and balanced" is more informative. Don't even start telling me that becaus Murdock own's the network it bends to the right. If you do I'll remind you that Ted Turner and Jane started and grew CNN into what it is today. You want to tell me that CNN is "fair and balanced?"

Interesting, since it is a total fabrication, how can they write that stuff.
Or is it that the facts are TRUE but you don't like the tone?
Welcome to the news the rest of us have to deal with every day from ever media source. Having one news source that isn't bleading heart leftist crap is fine by me.

I watch the news for the facts. That's what the news broadcast USED to be! Bring back the days of Croncite or Murrow when journalists took their profession of delivering new accurately without catering to either side as a duty to the American Public. Nothing is wrong with a "scoop" but when "scoops" are embellished or ignored for the sake of ideology I get mad. This is what CNN and some of the other major networks have been guilty of.
If you think FoxNews is SOOO right-wing why did the Bush DUI story come out just days before the election. That story was a Fox exclusive and was reported by a senior correspondent. Fox isn't the only place where one should watch, also the BBC is a good source for info but I avoid CNN like the plague.

Who cares??? Watch what ya want, just don't come crying here when you don't see what you want.
BTW, did you hear where CNN is trying to recruit right-leaning commentators. I remember something about CNN in talks with Limbaugh but they fell through. Obviously they feel that their slip in the ratings recently is due to their "imagined" political tint.
I still can't believe the "exclusive" they ran with the US soldiers coming on shore in Panama. Camera's and reporters for CNN with Night Vision was there live. All Noreiga had to do was tune in. Also, what about Arnette in Baghdad cooperating with Hussian in order to get "exclusives."
Shall I go on???

Ask any journalism major whom they think is more biased. I haven't ever seen a case of clear bias on the part of CNN, but would love to be shown one. Hey, I'll look at the facts, if there are any. Hell, my dad just got me to come around to some of the merits of the Drudge Report...

I, unfortunately have to go get a haircut from a very nice girl named Tuvera. She gets a little pissy when I'm late & I don't want to lose the "boobs pressing against the back of my head" privaledges or the "wink @ you while she washes your hair" privaledge. ;-) But, it's always good rambling with you, even if we do disagree on bias in the media. Go after one of the other "lefties" that are still on... :)

Awards are meaningless in the News world today. Ok so more journalist have risked their lives or had more "in-depth" segments but who cares. I want facts that are not filtered!
Fact 1: Foxnews broke the Bush DUI story first
Fact 2: Foxnews (O'Riely) was the first and only news source to call Jesse Jackson and his PUSH coalition to task
Fact 3: Foxnews is the ONLY news source to follow and pressure the story about WTC victims and families and the lack of aid from raised moneys.
Fact 4: Foxnews was first with the China-gate scandal including and exclusive Johnny Wong interview.
Fact 5: O'Reily is known as the toughest interviewer in news today. Jackson, Hillary, Bill and Kinsley refuse to go on his program. To date he has shed light on many scandals of both Repubs and Democrats. He's friends with Nader although he disagrees with his ideals.
Maybe they haven't won any awards but I'll take hard truthful reporting over any award.

I'm not going "after" anyone but let's be truthful here and not cover facts up with crap. On average Fox reports a more balanced view of a story, many of their stories are influenced by foreign presses. Some of their hosts do learn to the conservative like example Sean Hannity but he has a liberal co-host named Alan Combs which leads to some very good discussions which brings both sides out in the open. The spin from both sides is canceled out and the real meat of the story is presented.
Arnette was asked, so was CNN, by the Pentagon not to give any info or report at certain times and places. He refused to do so and by that caused a slight propaganda victory for Saddam. Also he's been very open about not supporting the war and has written in his book that there wasn't conclusive evidence of Saddam's terrible treatment of the Kuwaitis during occupation.
After all he IS a Naturalized US citizen that added Saddam during the war.

"...Fox reports a more balanced view of a story...," you say??? Please, sir, you cannot dispute the facts, but if, for some reason your distorted view of the "big picture" is so entrenched in your political leanings, I have to point you in the right direction for a little enlightenment...... If you can read the entire article & still tell me what you have maintained until this point, well,...... I guess then I will know what's wrong. Look above, at least I gave a "balanced" assortment of criticism over CNN. If your think F.A.I.R is balanced your smoking crack young man! Did you spend anytime on their site looking at other reports? Any news organization that doesn't have a liberal bias is called out. Even poor John Stossel which is FAR from being close right is given grief over his lack of "investigative reporting" on using kids to distort his last report on politics. Other than that they call out news sources like the WSJ, Wash Post, Pat Buchanan, seems like their even mad after GE bought NBC.
Come on dude, if your going to look for evidence or "fabricate" it at least present more than one source. Keep your response pithy when you opine too. hehehehehe
