we are villified by participating in those mediations. The Camp David accord is STILL considered an outrageous sellout by the hard-line factions in the middle east.

History and politics are just too complicated to be broadly attributed for or against a single situation.

*IF* Rocky was a leader during famous events in a parallel universe.

The Dark Ages: Rocky is then King of then England. The horde of Nordic troupes invade and pillage your country. King Rocky's actions are to give up all but his Castle to the Nords thus thrusting the world into hundreds of yrs of future barbarism. He dies.

The Renaissance: Rocky is a young Caesar of a small city named Rome. The Greeks demand entrance into Rome and since Rocky is a pacifist he gladly welcomes them and looses control of his building empire. The result: Great thinkers like DaVinci, Copernicus, Plato, etc never live up to their potential.

The American Revolution: Rocky as Gen Washington. Since he's a pacifist and doesn't understand aggression he surrenders his army to Cornwallace at Bunker Hill. So the US never becomes independent.

WWII....Rocky as Winston Churchill. He would urge the King to not build weapons and seek peace with Germany. Since the American continent was a British colony the infrastructure and industrial might never materialize. Germany successfully cuts off supply traffic between the American continent and the UK thus starving the British into submission. Rocky secretly negotiates a peace treaty with Hitler where he would survive and flourish but the rest of his country would take the full brunt of Nazi rule.

The rest of the alternate history goes on the same way. Japan, Germany, Russia and Italy are the only surviving nations. After a few yrs Germany builds it's military and resolve to attack and concur the remaining country. After a couple years, Germany is the only country left and Hitler fulfills his legacy of a 1000 years of the Reich. Millions of innocent civilians die over Hitler's life. His son takes over and carries on his brutal legacy. Rocky dies after a long and comfy life, being held as a national hero by the German people. Once in the afterlife Rocky finds out that in fact there is a devil as he spends the rest of eternity burning.

Please prove that the devil exists. Please.

And I can't help but feel that the current administration felt the Middle East was a lose-lose proposition - so, better to keep a distance.

I'm NOT an over religious person but I do believe in wickedness and evil.

Merriam defines devil as: 3 a : an extremely wicked person : FIEND b archaic : a great evil

Today we've seen the evidence of this type of person. Your attitude and disposition makes me believe you are one. Evil and the devil isn't always a religious concept.

That's a new one.

Evil because it will invite more of this.
