View Full Version : Another Pic of an A4 Check it out! Patrick B. 12-16-1998, 04:49 AM You like!?!?!?!?!? Tom Halter 12-16-1998, 04:58 AM To each their own, I guess. Whats with the Euro plates under the Japanese plates? Is this some new Japanese fashion statement? tHe uNaButtHeAd 12-16-1998, 05:16 AM John Costin 12-16-1998, 05:36 AM CraigB 12-16-1998, 05:46 AM woof 12-16-1998, 05:46 AM anyone? dmitry 12-16-1998, 05:47 AM A-4's too nice of a design to try to improve on. This attempt doesn't do it for me... CraigB 12-16-1998, 05:51 AM To be able to afford the new A4 upgrades, Fred and Ethel hesitantly offer their pooch in trade.
CraigB nozomi 12-16-1998, 06:01 AM joe 12-16-1998, 06:18 AM
nt Uzanak 12-16-1998, 06:29 AM I am not going to defend this guy or anything,(personally, I think he did too much) however coming from Japan, I can tell you a little about what goes on there.
AWD sports sedan, if Japanese car enthusiasts hear this word most of people would think Subaru Impreza WRXs, Mitsubishi Lancer Evolutions and Toyota Celica GT-FOURs.All pumps out 280hp and They all compete in WRC(except Toyota being banned for illegal modifying to Celica two years ago). So, in order to compete in WRC all the manufactures sell these souped up cars as rally edition to public.(around $25K) You will see them driving these cars on the road with exact groud affects and stickers as actual rally car. And they are in love with their cars.(not much we can say about this..=) ) So obviously this guy wanted a different AWD to show off to domestic drivers. And he bought an A4 1.8T which cost him around $35000($@\120)without any options. To compete against others,he did the competitive mods to his car. Just to be little original and differentiate from every other domestic AWD sports sedan lovers.
So, I say he made a pretty good decision regardless whats he done to his car(nice seats!!). Eventhough, he still gets butt kicked from Subaru,Mitsu, and Toyota.
Just an opinion....
Uzanak Drew 12-16-1998, 06:33 AM klidge 12-16-1998, 08:29 AM Henri Berger 12-16-1998, 08:30 AM J.Russ 12-16-1998, 08:39 AM I know this is a matter of personal tastes, but that car is simply hideous. Cathleen 12-16-1998, 10:06 AM The A4 Touring cars have yellow, blue, etc. mirrors to differentiate the drivers.
If he's going for a true Touring Car look, that's why he did it. It's close but the wing is wrong and too much mess on the front bumper with the double plates. The sticker tail light extensions are bad and don't make any sense.
It could be good if it were done exactly like the actual Touring Cars. Sports Wheels did a nice job with their Touring Car take-off. I saw it at QCUSA Road America in '97.
-Cathleen nozomi 12-16-1998, 10:10 AM stanj 12-16-1998, 10:12 AM Marcin R. 12-16-1998, 10:30 AM I love the rims, but everything else should be taken off! Man, if this guy wants a touring car, then buy one! Looks like he could afford one.
The DTM front splitter looks hideous!
Marcin R.
---
'98.5 A4 1.8Tqms (better looking than that one) Anon. 12-16-1998, 10:51 AM Cathleen 12-16-1998, 11:17 AM nt
Rich D. 12-16-1998, 03:41 PM AndrewT 12-16-1998, 03:49 PM ...on one hand, it makes it stand out, but on the other hand, it makes it look like another honda with a bunch of stickers, body kit, and huge spoiler. i dunno. i'm drawn to it. i like. i guess i really am a rice boy at heart! :-)
AndrewT Rich D. 12-16-1998, 04:06 PM steve l o 12-16-1998, 04:17 PM Joemamma 12-16-1998, 04:45 PM Joemamma 12-16-1998, 05:17 PM Anon. 12-16-1998, 05:32 PM Steve S. 12-16-1998, 07:46 PM Steve S. 12-16-1998, 07:49 PM Jason C 12-16-1998, 08:14 PM Jason C 12-16-1998, 08:18 PM Look at the detail in the interior...
He likes it, and I respect that...
