Is chip tuning the most cost effective method of getting more performance out of a 1.8T A4? I am going to try and order an A4 in the next few months, and was wondering if there are other upgrades to consider besides chipping, that offer better or more economical performance.<p>What are some common upgrades other than chips that are relatively easy to install?<p>Thanks!

A chip, new gaskets, a new thermostat, a new fan switch, new sparkplugs, and a K04 will get you up to a safe 240 to 250 horsepower. You can go beyond that, many will tell you.<p>The 1.8T is one of the easiest cars on the market to upgrade, since you can get to 205 horsepower with just a chip swap.<p>Cameron
