My dealer just told me that the Audi A4 Winter mats have been discontinued, so I need another solution.
Any one bought Weather Tech Floor Mats for there A4? How do they fit? Is the rubber of good quality?
Thanks
Gilles 1.8TQm

Clair Parts Express bought up a large stock of these mats when they were discontinued, and they will sell them to you by mail order. As of last week or so, they still had them.
People have complained that the WeatherTech mats don't fit properly (require cutting and maybe still don't look quite right). The Audi ones fit.
To preclude the almost inevitable "what/where is Clair Audi", they are one of this site's advertisers. (One of the banner ads that comes on at the top of the screen is theirs). They are in Boston, are an Audi dealer, and sell parts and accessories at discount. Phone 1-800-354-5100.
They also sell the WeatherTech trunk mat for $60. (The identical product that MacNeil sells - the box even has their name.) This part fits OK, although on mine the back raised edge is a little "wavy" when installed in the trunk.

The WeatherTech mats are of very high quality material but they don't fit worth a hoot. They are not custom sized to the A4 but rather a one-size-fits-most type of deal. I sent mine back and went with the M&S mats from Lltek. They fit real well, look good and have a raised edge to hold water on the mat. They also secure with the OEM fasteners.

I have the Weather Tech mats in my 90Q. They are absolutely the best material, and they hold tons of water, snow, mud, whatever. However, they are not custom fit. They sell you the one that most closely matches your car, and then you trim them accordingly. If you just want something that will hold a quart or so of liquid, and don't care how they look, the Weather Tech will be great. If you want something that looks good though, look for something else. They really aren't pretty!
Charles
Hey:
How do the trunk mats fit with CD changer? Is cutting required? Does the cutting compromize the ability to "hold water"? I have the OEM winter mats inside but I really want something for the trunk - year round. Thank!
John
98.5 A4 QMS
81 VW Pickup

I got mine at the end of September. Autostrasse told me they were discontinued, but
Parkway had some in stock. Maybe you're lucky and they still have some left, if not maybe they can order them for you (from Clair if all else fails). They cost 43.50 for the front mats and 31.05 for the rear. As far as the Weathertech's go I haven't been able to locate them in Montreal, it looks like the only place to get'em is www.macneilauto.com. That cargo liner sure is neat.
Gus

i got the lltech package also. when it arrived it had two fronts, two backs and what appears to be an oil drip pad for the garage that doubles as a trunk liner. i guess it was a bonus so i shouldn't complain, but i did put it under the truck in the garage rather than in the trunk
