First impressions:
Good sound. Not too loud, either. I can barely hear it with all the windows closed. It sounds
especially neat when you engine brake in the lower rpm's. A nice, deep tone.
Engine seems to come off of idle a little quicker. I also sense a little bit of power gain. I've only
driven 20 miles with the new setup, so more info later....
Corey S
Wett 97 1.8TQM

Corey's A4 page

I have the Remus already, but where did you get the sport resonator from?
Did you notice how big the stock resonator is!?!?

....compared to the one I have now. I got mine from
Meineke muffler. Yes, Meineke. This "resonator" we
keep talking about is actually a short version of the
"glass pack". Glass packs can be used as resonators,
and they flow much better than most OEM resonators
due to their straight through design. I guess Maremont
is the major glass pack manufacturer. I went with a
12 inch one, I believe Krash and SteveM did also. The
part was 65$.
With the new setup, I did notice better throttle response
off of idle, the peaky power curve of the Wett 1.0 bar
chip is a little smoother now, and the top-end has a
little more oomph. Overall, I'm pleased. Sounds cool,
too.
Hope this helps.
Corey S
Wett 97 1.8TQM

Corey's A4 Page
