This camera has been a trustworthy companion for a few months. It was always in my side pocket. I'm looking to step up to something more prosumer though, so I'm selling the Canon S100.

I am asking $350, plus $5-$10 for shipping.

I have ALL the original stuff that it came with, shown here:

And of course the camera itself:

My old digital camera is toast and the Elf is one that I was thinking of buying. I'd buy it but my vacation in two weeks and truck stuff for my vacation is costing me a lot of money. I could use a new camera for my trip too! If it's still for sale in 3 or 4 weeks, I want it!

So, uh, how many pictures can that hold at one time? The S100 is 1.3 megapixel, right? I can't remember what's what. I'll just look it up.

It's calling my name: Will I answer?

It comes with an original 8MB CompactFlash card, which isn't that large but can hold 4, 12, or 46 pictures depending on what quality you choose. I purchased a 32MB card, but I'm keeping that to use with the new digicam that I'll get. I always shoot in Fine/Large (1600x1200) mode, which allowed me to hold 52 pics, more than enough.

If you want the camera that badly and you're willing to commit to buying it from me, I will simply give you the 32MB card at no cost.....just cuz you're a fellow AudiWorld OT forum frequenter. :)

Lemme know what you decide.

I'll have to think about it...it is a really good deal. I need to control my spending a bit (major understement!), but maybe I can work a way to get my hands on that baby. I wouldn't expect you to give away the extra card, BTW.

and found that most are. I am not trying to rip anyone off here. I have done the research for low prices on digicams since I'm looking for a prosumer replacement. Almost all the lowest priced cameras are sold from shady stores based in Brooklyn. If you actually visit the links you posted, you will see that I am not lying.

I know my price is not low, but it is not high either. It's a legitimate and reasonable asking price.

Try doing some research at resellerratings.com. Might surprise you. In fact, look at the link below for Abe's of Maine.

I got burned by The Camera Zone but I did get my refund minus s/h charges which were about $23. Read my post about The Camera Zone. Too long to re-post here.

I used a different link for my search, and had to go up to $439.95 before finding a store I'd actually buy from (Buy.COM) - while the low price is $386.

As JCJiffy says: it's your call. If you think $40 off new is too little, don't buy it.

I've spent about $2K on truck stuff this month and have my vacation coming up in two weeks, so I better not buy anything else. I would really love to have that camera, but I would be better off waiting until next month to buy anymore toys. Good luck with selling it! I'm sure it son't be hard to find a buyer. Maybe not a buyer who wants it as bad as I do, but a buyer, nonetheless! :)

Though I will chime in when my "purchase experience" is over.

So far, it's not gruesome, but I'm not happy. Much depends on the exchange--if it's OK, then I'll be marginally satisfied, but if not, the ratings will suffer. In fairness to the company, the ratings are done by those who (a) know they're there and (b) bother to rate. My guess is that you're seeing a lot out outliers in the respondents... and most of 'em negative.
