An Alpha!! Why don't they sell these here in the USA?

Alfa-Romeo pulled out of the US a few years ago because of poor sales and US certification concerns. It was not worthwhile for Alfa to certify cars for US sales when sales volumes were so low. Having owned 4 Alfas thru the years, it was depressing when they pulled-out but not totally unexpected. The worst thing about it was the fact that Alfa was just releasing in Europe a bunch of great new cars, like the new Spider and the 156 (European car of the year the year it was released).
