Hi,
I'll be renting a car in Munich in May for 9 days. I plan on travelling to Austria and the Czech Republic as well. Which company would you recommend?
I'd like to drive something decent but inexpensive like an Audi A3, or a BMW 316i/320d, or something more unique like an Audi A2 or a Mercedes A-class.
So far autoeurope.com seems like a good bet.
Any ideas?

Also, many companies say that their vehicles cannot be driven in the former communist countries.. and I'm planning on spending 3-4 days in Prague. I wouldn't lump the Czech republic with Romania or Russia, they are much more 'civilized', but what can you do. Any suggestions?

Some cars are not allowed into some countries, no matter.
Tell the rental company where you plan on going and they'll give you the list of cars you can take.

On my visit to Hungary, Mercedes and converts were not allowed and they _do_ check paperwork at the borders!
