Based on the recent incidents at dealerships, I suggest (I think someone in the past might also have done so) we create a list of dealers all over the US where A4 owners have had good and bad service. We could base it on two different interactions, one while buying the car, the other while servicing the car. For more in-depth information, we could add a few variables in there, like:<p>-dealer attitude & behavior;<br>-quality of service;<br>-level of price discount;<br>-etc.<p>If anyone can think of other things, that would be great. It could be something like the registry, or as simple as a plain list.<p>Since there are usually 2-3 dealers/service areas in a 50 mile radius in major cities, that will give us a choice. Also, once and for all, a black-listed dealer should be boycotted!<p>--<br>Adil<br>'97 2.8 QMS with luckily no bad dealer experience

It seems nobody uses it though. Thus far Jason has refrained from posting bad comments on dealers. Maybe we need to post the bad ones. It needs to be done in a way such that one persons opinion cannot make up the entire review of the dealer. I dunno, maybe if 4-5 bad comments were received on a dealer then it could be summarized and posted.

It's just that nobody ever emails us with their opinion of the dealers. Sure people post on the forum all the time about their dealer experience, but we're not going to start picking out every single post. That would be too much work.<p>And like you said, if we get multiple reports about a bad dealer, then we will probably put a big "stay away from this dealer" in the comment box, but I don't feel one bad review should condem the dealer.<p>Matt
It's not really clear that you can read comments on dealers unless you actually look for a dealer in your state. I am responsible for the comments on the new Garffs in Provo, and at the same time I sent some comments on Strong's. The comments on Strong's were not bashing them, just that I had a negetive experience while trying to deal with them. Jason wrote me back and felt it would be better to leave out the negative comments, and I understand that as well.
