ontinuing with Mrakamai's story, a few weeks ago, I was with my friend in his 3rd gen Maxima. The road was merging and this guy in an Altima was next to us, so he decided to be a jerk and accelerated trying to merge in (WAY TOO CLOSE), my friend went a little faster so the guy wouldn't merge in front of him, so the guy drops back. He starts tailgating and when the road widened up a mile after, he went up to the drivers side and swerved at me and my friend. We were like WTF? He did this to both sides until we both pulled up at a stop light. The guy gets out of his car in a wife-beater and out comes with him a baseball bat!!!
He tried swinging at the Maxima's rear windshield (immaculately (sp?) kept) missed the rear windshield when my friend ran the red-light trying not to get hit (it was a stupid idea when you think about it afterwards...) At least the light turned green about 2 seconds after he floored it. The bat missed the winshield and the trunk (thank God) and the guy tried to spit at us, but too late.
That was a freaky experience.

Dude, what the hell is wrong with people these days? Some people shouldn't have the right to live (awaiting flames). Sorry, but that's the way I feel about *******s like that and the one I met the other day.

ill-respect for some else's property is one thing, but to do it in retalitation for something of so little substance (merging) is insane. Ford should give him a Exploder for free.
*sigh*. The World is Filled.

about 2 months ago, I was going to work at about 4pm. Anyways, in BC, we're allowed to turn right on redlights. So I'm sitting there, waiting to turn right (it was red). There was a car to my left, so I couldn't really see oncoming traffics. Common sense calls for you to wait until you can see. The guy behind me in a Montana starts honking me. I was like wtf? Looked in the rearview mirror, and saw the guy waving his arm around. Light turns green, I turn. The guy also turns (he wasn't following me... yet!). now I turn onto a 2 lane road. I was a bit pissed at the guy, plus there was an S4 parked on the side of the street, so I slowed down a bit to check it out. Guess what the guy does? Got right up to my ass and starts flashing and laid on his horns. Now I'm pissed. My life was just starting to get messed up then, so I obviously wasn't in a very sunny mood then. I slowed down a bit more as I approach the next intersection. Light turns amber, I slowed to a stop. Guy was pissed. You can see him really annoyed. Light turns green, I quickly gased up to the spd limit. He was on my ass the whole time I was accelerating. Ok, fine, you have a van, and you wanna play? I tapped the brakes to get him off a bit. Guess what he does? Swerve into the opposite lane, and tries to pass me. Sure, you are allowed (single yellow line), but damn, there's a car coming downhill in about 200m, and we're heading uphill. I let him pass by me. We hit another intersection, and the light turned red. He had to stop again. Then the freaky part. He walks out of his car! omg! He parks his car in the middle of the road, and gets out of his car, face completely red, and came up to me. He starts pounding on my window until I opened the window (my club was in my left hand, hidden by the door). He starts yelling at me and ****. Then a cop comes up around the corner behind him. Cop pulls over. Guy is still yelling at me. I see the cop, I tell the guy to shut up and turn around, for a police officer is about 10 steps away. The guy tries to grab me (this is freaky), but the cop yelled "hey, get off him!" Cop walks over, tells him to pull his car over around the corner, and checks if I'm ok. Calmly I drop my club (still hidden by the door, so cop didn't see) and said I'm ok. Cop politely asked me to also pull over just for record sake.
After we turned around, cop asked both sides of the story, and lets me go right away. When I drove away, I saw the guy walking out of his car towards the cruiser. Heh heh heh... I think he got a ride instead =)
Some afterthoughts, and questions to ask you guys.
1) had the cop not come, what would've happened?
2) I should've turned off at a side street or just pull a U turn to avoid this guy. Dumb me.
3) Was it wrong to hold onto my club when the guy was walking towards me?
4) If the cop didn't come, and the guy tries to pull me outta my car, would it be ok for me to use the club? I'm about 5'9", 135lbs, while this guy looks about 6'3", 225lbs (not much muscle... bit of beer belly). He would've had a real advantage on me... so in self defense, would it be ok for me to use the club, or do the cop expects me to defend myself with 100lbs deficite? One of my teachers told us before that if someone jumps you or something, you can defend yourself with something on your hand, may it be purse, cup, or whatever. True, or false?
5) we talk about ******* cops all the time, but once in a while, a good one does come by
6) the guy's face is sooo red, I wonder if he is drunk?
7) who said Canadian's are nice & soft? We'll get hockey style on ya foo!
8) i felt like clubbing that guy down... at the time of course
9) I was lucky...
ok, enough ranting... people these days... *sigh*

If the cop didn't come, you would've clubbed the guy upside the head.
You should not have pulled a u-turn. Unless you are in Korea, U-turns are NOT legal!
When the guy was walking towards you, you could hold on to a gun for all the courts care.
The defense of Self-Defense in the court of law (in canada anyways) states that you are allowed to retaliate with equal or commensurate force.
Now the courts would have asked you to get into more detail about your situation, but if an unknown comes up to you and grabs you out of your car, that's considered harrasment, and depending on what else he does to you, whether he yells at you, hits you, injures you in anyway, you can file for assault charges. The physical size factor would've been a mitigating factor for your side of the case, as would the fact that he pounded on your window, and yelled at you (both considered threatened violence).
As for that "if someone jumps you" situation, each one is unique. Most of the time it comes down to the aggravating and mitigating factors.
I don't know about you, but all the cops that I've met in my time have been approachable and relatively nice people. The one thing that really pisses cops off is when people get off when they shouldn't, such as cases with technicalities, etc.
We talk about cops that are always pull us over in our Audis. Well know this - if your duty is pointing something that looks like a hair-dryer at cars that drive by, what fun is that? While it beats the hell out of garbage disposal, it isn't the most illustrious job description. I do however, marvel the cops that pull over ricers with grapefruit launchers and contraptions fastened onto the back trunklids of their cars that looks more or less like a Klingon weapon from Star Trek. Mods I hate (like most of us) are the grapefruit launchers, the watermelon launchers, the stickers, the eyebrows, the wings, the spoilers, and things along that line.
Btw, while in the subject, did you know that in Canada, after you lower your car (either cutting springs or lowering-springs) you have to get your car checked out by the MOT and certified to be a legal road vehicle in Canada? I'm not sure about the actual legal ride height, but to all those ricers that got pulled over, that's really got to suck.
Canadian relative to Americans are nice and soft. Part of the reason why our country doesn't have Freedom of Speech - much the reason behind why there is no Richmond division of the KKK or other relgious/racial-hate groups.
Anyone that grabs me, minus my family and close friends, will get the **** smacked out of them. The utter disrespect disgusts me. Then again, that's just me. I simply don't stand for that kind of thing.
Oh, and as for if that guy was drunk? Have you seen all the technicalities you can get off on in Canada when it comes to DUI? if you want, I can post it someday, also to share with our neighboors south of the border... hell the process to tell if you are drunk or not is so technical and organized. Politically correct? yes, but ANAL as hell.... hell is anal, right?

Can't think of much else to respond to...
ahh, the insight that grade 12 law can provide for a situation like this....

yesterday up on Toronto, guess what I saw.
yes, someone did attempt at ricing their ES300. Yup Camry wannabe.
as far as I could tell, it had the following mods:
Klingon-style wing
eyebrows, no painted to the car's color, but rather, yellow *yikes* (car was a dark color)
lower front bumper that looks like it belongs on the Eclipse.
all with bare-bones-stock rims.
absolutely marvelous. wonder if it'll take on an S4?
