Sorry for the delay, but the archive listing just went up. From my notes of the conversation, the transmission tolerance has a safety factor built in, so that the PES torque of 262 ft lbs can work with the stock ZF rating of 230 ft lbs. Individual driving habits can affect the longevity of even stock components, as the C&D long term test last year of the A4 demonstrated (new transmission at 30 K miles). There will be reviews of the system in Turbo, Import Tuner, and perhaps Car and Driver. From the conversation, I could determine no good technical objection to the PES as far as my own driving habits are concerned. I mainly want it for passing, on-ramp, and emergency situations. It would also eliminate the sole remaining advantage of the other finalist when I got this car, the M3. Hope this helps.<br>
