I have a 98 2.8, Silver, 5-spd Quattro. I just love the car. So here is my dilemma.
I want to run down my Republican congressman at somewhere between 60 to 80 mph and I am concerned about the resulting damage to the car and the possible delay in getting replacement parts due to the holiday season.
I don't think Clinton is a saint, but the Republicans have basically wiped their asses with the Constitution and handed it back to the voters. TO HELL WITH THEM.

Sounds like a "good" post for the "Off Topic" board, along with discussions of presidential philanderers, perjurers, the history of the cigar in the Oval Office, and "Democratic Demagoguery".

I checked the "Off Topic" board and I think you are mistaken. That board if for hypocrites, right-wing religious zealots, self-righteous partisan politicians, and PERJURERS who lie to Congress about selling arms to Iran to illegally fund the Contras and then pardon themselves. There isn't a board here for discussing liers who conceal sexual infidelity or sexually deprived people who care what other people do with cigars. That's the Jerry Springer show.
My dilemma is what to do about elected officials who wish to subvert the Consitution and the will of the voters. Who cares about Congress or Clinton, I care about the Constitution and how to get replacement parts for my Quatrro.
Oh, did I mention - the A4 is an awesome car. The cupholders stink though.
Carl (...or whatever your name is). I wish you well, but to me you sound a little confused. This board is for A4 topics. If you want to discuss Audi replacement parts, you do that here. If you want to discuss politics or Democratic or Republican issues, do it somewhere else. Your Pal, Ernie

They just could not catch the slimmy bastard on anything other than PERJURY.
The fact remains that he broke the LAW and nothing concerning the WILL of AMERICAN PEOPLE (whose polls are cooked up by liberals anyway) should have anything to do with affecting his INNOCENCE.
I don't care that he had sex in the White House !! I care that he broke the law (perjury) as well as all the other shady dealings he's had before and after getting into office. The guy is a SCUM BAG !!!

I'll ignore your crass remarks and assume you hae some intelligence because you drive an A4.
I don't give a hoot about Clinton and I am not a liberal...but he, like all of us, is supposed to be innocent until proven guilty. The kangaroo court that Chief Hypocrite Henry Hyde presided over IS THE POINT. While Clinton's defense attorney was speaking, the Republican cronies where handing out their articles of impeachment..that is not the "rule of law", that's a sham. Perhaps someday you will be in court and while your defense attorney is speaking on your behalf the jury is reading a verdict. I think then you might care.
The american people should impeach Congress.

The whole thing stinks. I thought the hearings were a joke. At this point, I think the Republicans in Congress are just as guilty as Clinton. They should just censure the bum so we can move on and talk about cars. And while Congress is at it, the should get off their high horses and start listening to thier boss - the public.
And yes, the cupholders suck.

Wait 'till the Technology Transfer to China sh#* hits the fan! It'll make the Monica grab-ass episode look like a church picnic! If you're not already aware of this little problem, I think your opinion of our Commander-in-Chief might change just a little bit when you hear about it.

Jim,
Bringing down Clinton is not tough to take. I did not vote for him. What tough to take is the kangaroo trials that are going on. THAT IS MY POINT. I watched the Nixon's Watergate hearings and what went on last week. I think the Republicans should be shot for taking the Constitution and the right to a fair trial (that we all ASSUME we have) and throwing it out the window. It was pathetic.
I don't give a rat's ass about Clinton - I care about the rights that all Americans should have - this is not a third world country. I though the days of lynch mobs were gone. The fact of the matter is that they should have had a real inquiry like they did in Watergate. Truthfully, if Clinton is guilty, then he would twist in the wind of total public humilitation in such a setting- that's what happened to Nixon. And I would "enjoy" it just as much as everyone else. But Congress has no right to make a mockery of the system of fairness that's makes this country the greatest on the face of the earth. That's why I think they took the Constitution and wiped their asses with it and handed back to the public.
Anyone on this board who rips me is full of cr#p.

So he got a little nookie from an intern, so what! He is the President of the United States, thats pretty powerful. How many of you wouldn't use that to get some, honestly?? What about other dictators around the world, think they don't mess around? come on! How about most of the other powerful politicans in this country, I'll bet they each have something going on. This isn't little house on the prarie, we shouldn't be so closed minded.
As for this purgury crap, How many times do you think our president, when he goes on tv, isn't talking from a script. He was advised to lie!!! Our country is setting him up!!!

Let's ay your daughter, the 22-year old law student, is interning for the summer at the Federal Justice building nearest you. And let's say that her 47 year old boss, the Federal attorney for the district, who happens to be married with a family, and your daughter happen to let the ole hormones get the best of them a few times, on Federal time, and on Federal property. And let's say they get caught. And let's say the D.A. lies to EVERYONE about what happened. And, when called before a grand jury, CONTINUES to lie to EVERYONE about what happened. And, let's say, it comes to light during the proceedings that YOUR DAUGHTER THE LAW STUDENT isn't the only intern the D.A.'s been boffing.
You still gonna think "he didn't do anything wrong?" I didn't think so.

If anyone has sold out the Constitution its WJC and his pals... Say 'goodbye' to the Bill of Rights, submit your DNA sample for the national ID, and turn in your firearms so we can have "safe streets." Who needs protection from unlawful search and seisure anyway, right?
A4 Content: If you are driving your A4 in a so-called "drug-trafficking zone" with over $100k, it can be siezed without a warrant or probably cause on the assumption that you are a drug dealer under a WJC-backed bill proposed by Sen. Max Cleland.

click

Jim,
Yes you are right. My last statement was not enlighted. I'm just not too happy with someone telling me to blow it out my A$$.
I do NOT agree that the Consitutional process is working. The Watergate hearings are an example of when it was working. Nixon was accused and the Congress gave him his fair and unbiased day "in court". Clinton is accused and the Republican majority convicted him in a kangaroo court. The framers of the Constitution warned about the threat to the democracy of a partison impeachment. They said, however, that a partison impeachment would not exist if it mirrored the mandate of the people. Right now, my Republican representatives, by an overwhelming majority, have neither the support of the other political party or the American people. That's seriously messed up.
I'll say it again. I dont care if they fry Clinton a$$. But I have a real problem with the way this is going down. You better care because it goes against the heart and soul of what is supposed to protect all of us in a court of law. (not a court of public opinion). I think the Republicans right now are out of control.
Anyhow, just to show you that I an not biased and have a bad sense of humor, I heard that Clinton is going to make a speech tonight - that he is confused about the current uproar since after all we did elect him to the "head" office.

I don't care what he was lying about. The Constution of the
United States doesn't care what he lied about.
He was UNDER OATH!
He cannot be put on trial in the regular court system
for this offense as he is the Presidentof The United
States. His punishment is by a jury of his peers, The
United States Senate.
To all who think the Republican Party is breaking The
Constution of The United States, you are uninformed.
They are following it. Exactly and to the tee.
Had William Jefferson Cliton lied to The Pope on national
television and swore on his mothers grave that he socred
a 35 at the back nine at Saint Andrews when he actually
never went there, it wouldn't put him in jeopardy
with The Constution of The United States. But he lied
under oath and this is the offense.
The Office of The President of The United States is above
our court system but not above its laws.

Just using Bill Clinton's logic, Jason C wrote a partially true statement when he said " I don't think...." Just the first three words were true.
Jason, Bill lied under oath. Who cares what about. Integrity under oath is the only facet keeping this country from being a dictatorship.
Livingston ADMITTED on his own accord. No trial, no Grand Jury. No oath.
The swearing in for testimony involves promising to tell the truth, the wole truth and nothing but the truth. The redundancy in this process precludes the use of creative testimony that Bill so flagrantly commissioned.

Jason, Monica is over the age of consent. Her father has no grounds for going after the President.
Bill Clinton lied to you under oath. What else has Bill lied to you about.
What about illegal campaign contributions from China? What about China's miracle of sucessfully launching a satellite only after receiving sensitive National Security technology from the Clinton Adminstration? Are you going to care when Chinese bombs fall on the U.S. from orbit?
What about the death list? Vince Foster was only one of over a hundred souls extinguished under suspicious circumstances.
Open your eyes and see the man for what he is. A son of a used car salesman from Arkansas whose biological father had two families, kept apart until his untimely death before Bill's birth. A governor who stated in 1990 if reelected (in the gubernatorial race) "I will fill out the entire term (4 years)..."
I cannot be led by a liar. I left my last job due to this.
