I took my 99.5 A4 1.8tqm to my dealer to have the cd changer fixed and there was a black on black 323ci in the showroom (Audi/BMW dealer). I examined it for several minutes while waiting for my loaner, and had the greatest urge to buy it! I have always liked the new 3-series coupes, but never gave thought about trading in my beloved A4. Am I a complete idiot? My A4 has been flawless from day one (with the exception of the cd changer). It has 12,000 miles on it and I know that I would get screwed on a trade in, but it is almost worth it.
Has anyone else felt this way? I'm not interested in a flame war over which is better, just some honest opinions. Thanks.

They're very nice indeed! You're not an idiot...I feel the same way every day. The problem is that there are just too many beautiful cars and not enough garage space in which to put 'em. 8^)

I wouldn't consider trading my A4 for a 323, the 323 came in a close second in my buying decision, but it was definitely second to the A4. I don't really like the way the E46 sedans look, BUT I do think they did a great job on the coupes...very nice lines.

I saw a 323i at the park with 18" ACShnitzer split 5 spokers. Slammed, clear corners, debadged. It looked pretty good, but not enough to trade my A4.

I think when I retire I'll build myself a BIG garage where I can have as many toys as I can keep running.

I want a garage just like my State Farm claims office. It has 3 huge doors at either end and they're big enough to drive in with bikes on top of the car. Also, it's heated, A/C'd, holds about 12 cars and has floor drains (GOTTA have floor drains). 8^)

...that your A4 is also a very nice car. You are allowed to enjoy many cars (I know I do!). I certainly wouldn't make a move now, but if you still feel that way in a year or so, then do what makes you feel good! :-) Just don't buy on an impulse, because the grass is not always....you know the rest! :-)

All of a sudden I had visions of a new project car...1.8T chipped Passat with 17" wheels, blah, blah, blah. or maybe a 2.8 PES Passat...yeah that's it...SUPERCHARGER...YEAH!!!
Ok...I gotta settle down. She only buys a new car every 10 years or so, so I'll have to make do for a while. Maybe a turbo for the Integra??? 8^)

I think the E36 Sedan is the best looking of the E36 Sedan, Coupe, and E46 Sedan, Coupe. Just my opinion. The new models look too soft, IMHO, and the E36 coupe just looks goofy.
