I think it would be a good thing if the last part of the forum that was just archived (ending 12/13, problem starting at 1900 hours and something) was deleted. Not for the reason that the content was worthless (and it was, consisting mostly of attacks on Jim H.), but because the system was obviously terminally corrupted.
The main problem is that the messages under the headers aren't generally correct. If I look under my, or other's, messages, I just get someone else's message, and usually the same one over and over. Like me, it was obvious that everyone was having difficulty getting a successful post, and as a result things are posted over and over. Anyone going through the archive will be led to the conclusion that we are even less competent than we really are. :-)
Also, it seems by the content of posts lately that it must be about time for some "guidance from above" regarding what is an acceptable post and what isn't. Are personal attacks OK now? Is it OK to post everything on this main forum, ignoring the hierarchy that has been set up (tires and wheels, etc.)? In some respects, things are getting bad enough that I think I see that the forum is starting to lose some folks that have actual content to contribute.
Thanks,
Dale
