There is no longer an Audi dealer here in Little Rock. The dealer which previously handled Audi dropped them to pick up Infiniti. What a sad trade!
I know you're think...Little Rock?...but the 4 county Metropolitan Statistical Area is the 73rd largest in the U.S.(almost 600,000). When you consider that there are over 350 Audi dealers in the U.S. (I believe this is correct), it seems unfair.
I can more or less get full warranty and service here from the local VW dealer, but I'm pretty peaved there's no official dealer. It's been rumored that one's coming, but that Audi has put a "freeze" on new dealerships b/c they can't meet the inventory demand of the existing dealerships!
Oh well. Anyone else feel shorted?
Wesley Walls
'98 1.8TMS

I find it odd that the town I live in, Indianapolis, has only one Audi dealer. Columbus, Ohio, comparably sized town, has 3, I believe. Cincinnati, must have at least 4.

klutes

Sorry, couldn't resist.
I know what you mean about long drives to the dealer.
Mississippi just got it's first Audi dealership last month! And he is a 2.5hour drive from me.
I bought my A4 from Gossett Motors in Memphis and have been taking it to them for service (no VW dealerships any closer than Memphis ;-( ).
It kinda sucks taking a day off from work and getting up at 5a.m. to get to the dealership in time for my 7a.m. appointment and then sitting in the waiting room for 5-hours while they rotate tires, change the oil and polen filter. The 'free' service almost isn't worth it for me.
Robert
'97 1.8T/M/B/CD/Srf/

I purchased my A4 from Gossett as well. It has been a pleasurable experience so far.
Where do you live, and where is the new dealership in Mississippi?
Thanks,
Wesley Walls
'98 1.8TMS

Oxford, Mississippi..Home of the Ole Miss Rebels (a.k.a. The University of Mississippi).
As I understand it, one of the Jackson Miss. VW dealerships had added the Audi line of cars to their offerings. There was a 1/2 page write-up in the Clarion ledger (state's largest paper) a few weeks ago in the Buisness section.
Gossett experience has not been bad. Purchase was a breeze, Art Aronld (no longer there) was the best salesperson i have ever worked with. I showed him a printout from Kelly Blue Book web site showing the alledged dealer cost for the A4 I was considering, he looked at it and said "yea, that's accurate." "I gotta make $1,000 on the car {4.5%}." I said that was fine and we wrote it up.
Service has been o.k., but very slow. I have never waited less than 3-4hours, even for an oil change!
Robert

I called Audi of America today just to "check" on the status of a dealer here in Little Rock. The lady said that they've basically entered into an agreement with North Point VW in North Little Rock to add Audi. However, as I mentioned, she said it can only be bestowed if and when another dealership closes or more are allocated. So, who knows when that will be! The dealer in Jackson must've been first on the list!
I ordered our car from Art, but he left the dealership before arrival. Tyrone Knolls was very helpful at delivery. I've only taken my car into Gossett once, and I waited about 5 hours. They were doing more service than an oil change though!
Wesley
