Hi all-<p>Just wanted to confirm the FAQ entry on the fix for the dead remote. I noted some question about that a few days ago.<p>I had the dead remote this evening and tried the routine in the FAQ. It worked as written with a minor exception - in step 3, the lights flashed instead of the alarm beeping.<p>I also found that, while a key is in the ignition and the ignition is on, the second press of the unlock button will not open all doors. When I took the key out of the ignition, the remotes worked perfectly.<p>td<br>'98.5 Avant STip

Ted,<br>I was the guy with the dead remote.<p>I decided not to go through the FAQ procedure since I was scheduled for my 10K service yesterday anyway.<p>Good thing... the service manager told me that they attempted to reprogram the old one after replacing the batteries to no avail. They gave me a new one.
