The new setup looks great except for one thing: the encryption is the ultra wimpy 40-bit variety. Any Joe can go down to Radio Shack, slap down a couple C-notes and build himself a 40-bit SSL cracker in a few hours.
Actually, I'm not all that concerned when using a credit card. The bank limits my losses from a stolen card # to $50. But I tend to rail on this issue whenever I get the chance.
Between our near fascist U.S. government convincing the world to ban strong encryption wherever possible, and the clueless dufi (that's dufus, in plural form ;-) who put up Internet brokerages using 40-bit SSL, I've had it "up to here"!!
I mean, really! Would you risk losing your life savings by trading on a web site that uses 40-bit encryption?? Believe it or not, National Discount Brokers (www.ndb.com) uses 40-bit SSL. Don't they read the news??
Off soapbox now. Later all, Scott
