Sebring news:
The stellar GT2 field at Sebring just got even more competitive as the Rahal-Letterman Racing Team has confirmed a two-car BMW M3 entry for the 57th Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring presented by Fresh from Florida.
The team's BMWs will be making their American Le Mans Series debut, and will face a tough field that include Porsche, Ferrari, Panoz, Aston Martin, Dodge Viper and Ford GT entries.
Two years ago, the GT2 class produced the closest finish in Sebring history when the Risi Ferrari won by a margin of just 0.202 seconds over the Flying Lizard Porsche in a bumper-to-bumper door-to-door last turn scrap. In 2008, the Flying Lizard team came back for a one-two sweep at Sebring, setting the stage for a thriller on March 21.
