The bad news: this trans is rated for a maximum of 230 HP and 228 ft-lbs torque, which means we are pretty much limited to chip and exhaust as a "safe" upgrade.
The following specs apply to both the quattro (5 HP 19 FLA) and FWD (5 HP 19 FL) tiptronics:
Transmission capacity:
T(max) Engine at 3500 rpm = 310 Nm
P(max) at 5500 rpm = 169 kW
(230 HP)
n(max) in 1st to 4th gear = 6540 rpm
n(max) in 5th gear = 5000 rpm
n(max) KD shift = 6000 rpm
T(max) Turbine = 540 Nm
Converter:
W 254 S with controlled converter clutch
T(p) = 90 -230 Nm at n(p) = 2000 rpm
Ratios:
1st gear 3.67
2nd gear 2.00
3rd gear 1.41
4th gear 1.00
5th gear 0.74
Rev. gear 4.10
Constant 2.2 ... 3.7
Just thought I'd pass this along to the power-hunger tippers out there.
Tom P.
98.5 A4 1.9TQ/tip/sport/Wett 1.0bar
" |
