Several years ago, somebody on this board wrote off a TT during a track event when the ABS system overrode the driver input. IIRC, this was due to the system going into extreme-ice condition mode. Does anybody remember this? I did a search but couldn't find the appropriate thread.

I am not familiar with that. I assume that means the car decided there was no grip and substantially reduced the available braking? So the driver want lots of braking and the car overrules him and crashes?

If so, was this "feature" designed by the body shop industry group? Sheesh.

Yah that's pretty much it. I've experienced it in a VW GTI on an autocross course. Wish I could find the old posts and video.
